Job Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of Lessons and Maintaining Teaching Standards
a. To teach regular classes, including covering classes where the teachers are absent due to annual, medical or other leave.
b. To ensure consistent, high quality teaching standards across the teaching team that meet student needs.
c. To work with the Director of Teaching and other directors to achieve the goals and targets
d. To provide academic leadership and proactive support to teachers through training, coaching and mentoring sessions.
e. To serve as mentors and role models to younger teachers, sharing with them relevant teaching expertise and content knowledge.
f. Observe teachers and classes regularly to evaluate success of teaching and materials.
g. Encourage and support knowledge sharing and cooperative lesson planning among teachers.
h. To work with curriculum teams to ensure products and services offered meet customer needs, preferences and expectations.
i. To ensure, in collaboration with Head of Centre, that student retention and customer satisfaction targets are met or exceeded.
2. Human Resource Management
a. To lead and manage a team of teaching staff in the centre.
b. To contribute to the overall performance management in your centre, effectively line managing Teachers and ensuring their performance is satisfactory.
c. To ensure that all teaching staff has appropriate skills, knowledge, support and training to enable all programmes achieve targets.
d. To participate in the recruitment and induction of new teachers to corporate standards, in conjunction with HR.
e. To ensure parents’ survey (teacher satisfaction) targets are met or exceeded.
f. To manage teacher resources to ensure that teaching resources are adequate and effectively utilised. This includes management of teacher absenteeism due to annual, medical or other leave.
g. To review the demand for teacher resources and liaise with Head of Centre and HR to ensure that these demands are met.
h. To disseminate all relevant information and keep all teaching staff of the centre well informed.
3. Other Responsibilities
a. To monitor and review the implemented guidelines.
b. To pro-actively build relationships with students and parents.
c. To manage and monitor communications with parents, including but not limited to feedback cases and student progress reports.
d. To complete the responsibilities and tasks assigned by senior management.

a. Possesses a degree and/or a recognised teaching qualification
b. Strong command of spoken and written English.
c. More than 5 years’ experience teaching English as a second language.
d. Proven track record of strong leadership and people management experience.
e. Ability to build strong rapport across all levels, demonstrating strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
f. Ability to mentor, coach and nurture.
g. Academic credibility with a track record of excellence in teaching.
h. Have exposure in developing curriculum in teaching English as a second language.
i. Resilient under pressure.
j. Ability to engage parents and students.
k. Required to work on weekends.
